Miku (美久) is a career-focused Designer with a strong work ethic, the wife of Tatsu and the mother of Himawari (live-action only).

Appearance[]

Miku is a pretty young woman who looks very much like a younger version of her mother with medium-length dark-colored hair that hangs on the left side (she ties up her hair in a small ponytail sometimes) and dark-colored eyes.

Her work attire consists of a dark-colored top and skirt. Under the top, she wears a light-colored shirt.

In Episode 8, Miku had square bangs hanging over her forehead as a child.

Personality[]

Miku has a very outgoing personality where she is always up to trying new things and she often brings Tatsu along with her and encourages him to step out of his comfort zone.

Miku is also a very hard worker, but that doesn’t stop her from having fun.

Synopsis[]

Relationships[]

  • Miku's Dad - Miku and her father share the same knife 'Hacking' skills and messiness as shown in Chapter 41 and Episode 8.
  • Miku's Mom - Not much is known about Miku and her mother's relationship, but it seems like they have a good mother-and-daughter relationship and Miku looks very much like a younger version of her mother.
  • Tatsu - The two have a bizarre yet loving relationship. They first met when Miku found him injured after Tatsu endured a bloody battle, to which she carried him to safety. After an unspecified amount of time, they got married, and Tatsu also quit the yakuza for her. He protected her when she was about to be hit by a volleyball once. They sometimes fight with each other, but in the end, the two still deeply care for and love each other.
  • Masa - The two first met in Episode 5 where they began to prepare for Tatsu's birthday. Masa usually calls Miku 'Ma'am' and/or 'Boss Lady' ('Sis' in Season 2).

Etymology[]

  • The name Miku means "beautiful" (美) (mi) and "long time" (久) (ku).

Live Action[]

  • Miku's surname Kuroda means "black" (黒) (kuro) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).

Trivia[]

  • In the TV drama, Miku has a daughter named Himawari (ひまわり).
  • Miku is an Otaku as she is obsessed with magical girls anime, especially Policure.
  • The reason why Tatsu does most of the cooking is due to Miku's way of "cooking" by having her violently attacking her ingredients and tossing just about everything in the fridge into whatever dish she's making.
    • Miku's brutal cooking style such as her knife 'Hacking' skills and messiness comes from her father as seen in Chapter 41 and Episode 8 when making hotpot
